The trial of reconstructing this amazing car
Only one prototype came into being, and then was destroyed. Syrena Sport was considered as the most beautiful car from the eastern side of the Iron Curtain.
At the time this visualization was created, there were no existing 3D visualizations nor a physical replica of the car. The project was based on very limited reference materials—only a few low-resolution photographs and scans of construction drawings, also of poor quality.
After the initial model was completed, it was continuously refined by comparing it with photographs taken from various angles. The project was originally intended as a portfolio piece and a modeling skills exercise. However, it eventually took on a much greater significance.
The project was noticed online by a team involved in a planned Syrena Sport replica commissioned by the “Żołądkowa Gorzka” brand. This led to a collaboration that resulted in the recreation of a true legend of Polish automotive history.
At a later stage, the 3D model was sectioned into ribs, which were then used by Bojar, a company based in Wrocław, to create a mold for lamination.
When we see the vehicle at various automotive events, it fills us with nostalgia and pride, knowing that we contributed, in some way, to the reconstruction of this remarkable car.
